Smoothie Saturday: Acai + Toppings

Acai Bowl

When it comes to acai bowls, in my experience it’s all about the toppings. This combination is a classic but can be modified based on what you have and are in the mood for. That’s the beauty of acai bowls!

The Recipe

To Blend:

  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1.5 tsp acai powder
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 1 scoop Orgain Organic Plant-Based Protein Powder in vanilla (or your favorite protein powder)
  • 1/2 cup almond milk

To Top:

  • 1 tbsp bee pollen
  • 1/2 banana, sliced
  • 1/2 tbsp goji berries
  • 1/4 cup granola
  • 1/4 cup blueberries

Blend the blendables and top with toppings. Once you have a strong acai base, feel free to experiment with toppings. When you find a combination you like, be sure to share it with us!
