Banana Matcha Smoothie Topped with Raspberries

As someone who doesn’t drink coffee (yet) I am always looking for healthy ways to get a boost in the morning. I love matcha because it gives me great, focused energy that seems to have more endurance than the caffeination provided by stronger black teas. This smoothie works overtime fueling you up with lots of fruits and proteins and providing good, sustained energy.

The Recipe

To Blend:

  • 1/2 Banana
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1/2 cup Fage 0% Greek Yoghurt
  • 1tbsp Matcha Powder

To Top:

  • 1/2 Banana
  • Handful of Raspberries
  • Matcha Powder (be careful — too much can make some bites powdery)

Raspberry is a great flavor pair for matcha. Banana also goes well since it helps sweeten the somewhat earthy matcha taste.
